Faculty coaches provide advice and assistance to faculty at all levels. Coaches facilitate Advancement by supporting mentoring, and early identification of critical issues that impact faculty. One of the key things coaches do is prepare faculty for Advancement reviews. Faculty coaches also consult with school leadership on important concerns, advocate for positive change in departmental culture, and support networking by organizing informal gatherings designed to encourage interactions between faculty members.
Three Faculty Coach positions have been created for the 2008-2009 academic year, one in the School of Engineering, one in the School of Science and the last in the School of Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences. [Faculty Coach Profiles]
