Advocacy

Provost Dr. Robert Palazzo,  working with the RAMP-Up team, has invited tenure track faculty to take the opportunity to review their tenure and promotion record in an effort to mobilize support for the goals of the program.  Both the Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigators have met with a number of women faculty to resolve concerns regarding re-appointment and tenure reviews.

First-Year Outcomes

All cases were successfully resolved in favor of the faculty. A greater advocacy role has begun to take shape as a result of the developing role of Faculty Coach in both the School of Science and the School of Engineering.

The Institute continues to review faculty promotion and tenure mechanisms for faculty in support of advancement reform. The Provost has also promoted Advancement Reform by encouraging women faculty to meet with RAMP-Up leadership for confidential consideration and discussion of any professional or work-life concerns.
